This course is aimed at anyone wanting to work more efficiently in PowerPoint when creating slides and to learn the basics of presenting them.

Course Outline

  • setting up PowerPoint (saving options, adjusting the working space)
  • most important elements of the ribbon
  • customizing Quick Access Toolbar

Design:

  • basic slide design rules
  • basic slide DON'Ts
  • how to prepare simple infographics
  • putting emphasis on elements
  • creating and importing tables
  • using spreadsheets in PowerPoint
  • how to make tables effective on slides
  • using different charts
  • using different graphs
  • using and editing pictures
  • distributing elements on slide

  • examples of great slides

Effective presentations:

  • how to prepare for a presentation delivery
  • what to keep in mind when presenting
  • body language and tone of voice basics
  • public speaking rules - basics
